EHM ProSports Approach (EPSA) for athletes

We are firmly convinced that an athlete can only become and remain successful if the following points are added to ensure their playing qualities:

  • individual athletic training tailored to the athlete’s physical disposition, personal performance goals and position in the team
  • a healthy diet
  • the right mental attitude and
  • permanent documentation of all activities
  • in the digital athlete profile

Only a coordinated, comprehensible and documented overall approach leads to the desired result, while selective approaches remain piecemeal and lead to frustration because success does not materialize.

With our approach, we ensure that precisely this is avoided and that the commitment leads to success for the athlete. EPSA is demonstrably successful because we take a holistic view of the athlete and promote all aspects.

Continuous improvement of athletic scores through systematic application of our training methodology

(EPSA) Part 1: Scoring

STR

Test 1 – Strength

Strength in handball refers to the ability to use physical strength to perform various handball-specific actions.

These include, for example, pushing or blocking an opponent, asserting oneself in duels, throwing with great force or maintaining a stable body position when defending against attacks. Strength training plays an important role in building up the necessary muscle strength and improving performance in handball.

AGI

Test 2 – Agility

Agility in handball refers to the ability to make quick and skillful movements to move in tight spaces, change direction, launch attacks or take up defensive positions.

Good agility enables athletes to move around the pitch effectively, adapt quickly to changing situations and avoid opponents.

RUN

Test 3 – Running ability

Running skills in handball refer to the athletes’ endurance and speed when running and moving around the pitch.

Handball is a dynamic sport characterized by fast sprints, changes of direction and continuous movement. Athletes with good running skills can change positions quickly, act effectively in attack and defense and maintain their performance over the entire playing time.

JUMP

Test 4 – Bounce & explosiveness

Jumping power is an important characteristic in handball, as it enables athletes to jump higher and thus, for example, make throws over defenders or protect the goal area when defending against throws. Good jumping power also increases the ability to catch high balls or win rebounds.

(EPSA) Part 2: Analysis

1. comparability of performance to the environment
We use the personal athletics score to show the comparability of the athlete to a defined peer group, to his club, to the national league or to the world elite. This contributes to an objective assessment of the athlete’s position and reveals any deficits.

2. conclusions
The score can be used to determine how the training program should be put together with regard to STR, AGI, JUMP and RUN in order to ensure optimal development.

3. documentation
Continuous documentation allows the development and trend to be recognized and corrected if necessary..

Transformation

(EPSA) Part 4: Personal nutrient & nutrition concept to optimize personal performance

The right nutrition provides the body with optimal energy, supports muscle recovery and general health. It provides the necessary macro and micronutrients to cover the increased energy requirements during training and competitions.

It is simply impossible to reach the level of a professional athlete without the right, balanced diet and nutrition.

We deliver:

  • Guide to nutrients
  • Nutritional concept
  • Recipes
  • Shopping lists

(EPSA) Part 5: Mentales Coaching

The mental challenges of a professional athlete have far-reaching consequences for their entire life after their career. The mental demands on a mostly young person in a professional sports club are all too often disregarded or unintentionally overlooked by those in charge.

The commitment to a professional and disciplined approach to daily routines is taken for granted. But what happens in the real world?

The athlete’s success is always influenced by their private life and the club’s internal personnel management.

Unresolved conflicts and conversations that are conducted incorrectly or not at all create misunderstandings and a toxic environment that is perceived completely differently by the parties involved. The consequences are usually visible through unnecessary failure and the loss of financial expenditure.

We tackle these complex issues in a targeted manner, from the athlete to the club management, and use proven external consulting principles from over twenty-five years of entrepreneurial experience to quickly and consistently put you back on the road to success.
